Cadetships
Why wait until graduation to get a job?
There's no need to be a struggling uni student working casual jobs. Our cadets work full-time or part-time whilst completing their degree. Take home regular pay plus other benefits, whilst using your degree at work.
And the best bit? OneSteel pays your tuition fees. So unlike thousands of other university graduates, you'll graduate with no debt and no worries.

Our Program
Your uni course provides you with theoretical training, but as a OneSteel cadet you'll put theory into practise. Our cadetships are varied - in some cases you'll work full-time whilst studying part-time; in other cases it's the opposite. What remains the same is the head start you'll get over other students!
Our working environment provides access to colleagues that really know their stuff, complex problems to solve and leading-edge technologies. The sheer size of our operations makes the jaws drop of many experienced professionals, let alone students. You'll find this environment is often the best classroom of all!
Cadetships are typically available at our Sydney, Newcastle and Wyalla locations, in areas including Engineering (Chem, Elec, Mech or Mining), Metallurgy, Material Science & Accounting. Click on the link for Cadet Profiles.
Your Development
And just because you're still studying doesn't mean you're not 100% part of the team. For cadets there's often the opportunity to undertake technical training along with our apprentices, networking with other entry-level employees and of course you have a head start on getting a place in OneSteel's Graduate Program.
Are you the right fit?
