Transport & Storage: Cold Storage
Cold storage facilities are increasingly in demand for warehousing perishable foodstuffs. The operating temperatures for these facilities start at below zero and reach as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius.
OneSteel makes a range of Structural steels that are able to be used at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius without loss of ductility. Guidance for design at these temperatures and lower is provided in the
OneSteel Market Mills Design
Note No. D1 Structural Steel for Low Temperature Applications.
OneSteel Reinforcing can also supply cryogenic rebar to BS4449-460 to comply with BS 7777 Part 3 at -50 degrees Celsius.
